Accessibility Statement

We want Book Recommendations to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. That includes readable text and contrast, keyboard use, clear headings and labels on forms, descriptive links, text alternatives for images that carry meaning, and pages that work on phones and with zoom.

What we do

  • Use standard page structure, headings, landmarks and labelled form fields.
  • Keep all tools usable with the keyboard and show a visible focus.
  • Check new pages and tools for accessibility problems before publishing.

Known limits

Some parts are controlled by other companies and may not meet the same standard, such as ads, consent messages, payment pages, embedded videos and social content. Some older PDFs and files you download may not be fully accessible. We try to give an accessible alternative on request.

Tell us about a problem

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in another format, tell us through the contact page or at info@booksrecommendations.com. Include the page address, what went wrong and what device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to fix problems as soon as we reasonably can.
