How the metadata checker works
Each rule is taken from Amazon KDP's published guidance. Where we found the rule on an official KDP page the result is shown as confirmed; where it is widely reported but not confirmed, it is labelled as unconfirmed so you know how much weight to give it.
Your books are saved in your own browser. Nothing is sent to Book Recommendations, so use "Export all books" to keep a backup file you can import on another device.
The same title, author and description are normally reused on Lulu, Barnes & Noble Press and IngramSpark, so a profile saved here saves you retyping them. Those platforms have their own limits; see platform rules.

Where are my book details saved?
In your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to our server, so clearing your browser data removes them. Use the export button to keep a backup file.
Which rules does the checker use?
Amazon KDP's published metadata rules. Each rule shows whether it was confirmed on an official KDP page, and links to that page, so you can see how reliable it is.
Does passing the checker guarantee KDP will accept my book?
No. It catches the common mistakes before you upload, but KDP makes the final decision when it reviews your title, files and content.
