What this checker does and does not do
It reads the PDF's page count and the size of each page, then compares them with KDP's page-count range for your trim size and paper and with the page size KDP expects (trim size, plus bleed if you use it).
It cannot see your text, so it cannot prove your margins are safe, and it does not check fonts or image resolution. Open KDP's previewer for those. Minimum inside margins by page count are shown so you can compare them with your layout.
Frequently asked questions
Is my manuscript uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read inside your browser and never leaves your device. You can switch off your internet connection after the page loads and the tool still works.
What does the checker look at?
Page count, the size of every page against your chosen trim size and bleed setting, and whether the page count suits the paper and binding you picked.
Can it find text outside the margins?
Not reliably, so it does not claim to. Margin checks need a visual review, and KDP's previewer is the best final test.
