Affiliate Programme Terms

These terms apply if you join an affiliate programme run by Book Recommendations and promote our products or services for a commission. They work together with the terms of use and the affiliate disclosure.

How it works

You get a personal link. When a visitor clicks it and buys a qualifying product or service, you may earn a commission. The commission rate, the qualifying products and the tracking period are shown in the offer you accept. We may change them for future sales with notice by email or on the site.

Who can join

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. We may accept or refuse any application without giving a reason.

Payment

• Commission is earned only on completed sales that are paid and not refunded, cancelled, charged back or found to be fraudulent.
• We pay after the refund period ends, once your balance reaches the minimum stated in the offer.
• You are responsible for your own taxes. We may ask for tax or payment details before paying.

Disclose your link

You must say clearly that you earn a commission, near the link and before the visitor clicks (for example "affiliate link" or "I earn a commission"), as required by the FTC, the UK ASA and similar rules. Links on a website must use rel="sponsored".

Allowed promotion

Honest reviews, tutorials, comparisons, email to people who agreed to hear from you, and social posts that follow the platform's rules.

Not allowed

• Spam, fake or misleading reviews, and false income or results claims.
• Bidding on our brand name or similar names in paid search, or using our name in a domain, account or handle.
• Coupon or cashback sites, or any adult, hateful or illegal content, unless we agree in writing.
• Buying through your own link, or tricks such as cookie stuffing or forced clicks.
• Pretending to speak for us, or using our logos beyond the approved ones.

Your content and ours

You own your content. We may use the links and screenshots of your posts to check compliance. You may use our name and approved logos only to promote our products honestly.

Privacy

We use cookies and similar tools to track referrals, as explained in the privacy policy and cookie policy. You must follow data protection law when you collect or send personal data.

Ending

Either side can end the programme at any time by writing to the other. We may stop paying for sales that break these terms. Commission for valid sales made before the end is still paid.

Relationship

You are an independent affiliate, not our employee, agent or partner. We do not guarantee any level of earnings.
